A Day in Petra is A Day in Heaven
Today I’ll take you on an adventure to one of the most magnificent places on earth — Petra, Jordan. Petra is a historical and archaeological city located in the southern part of Jordan, and it’s also one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This ancient city is carved into sandstone cliffs and has stood for over 2000 years.
One of the most exciting parts of my trip to Petra was the hike to the highest viewpoint for the Treasury. The Treasury is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Petra, and it’s a must-see for anyone visiting the city. I had to climb for 90 minutes to the top of a mountain to reach this viewpoint. The pictures and videos I took at the end of the climb are worth every step I took.
As I climbed higher, I felt my heart racing and my adrenaline pumping. The rocky path was steep and uneven, but every time I stopped to catch my breath, I was rewarded with stunning views of the mountains around me. At the end of the climb, I could see the iconic Treasury building and the Amphitheatre in the far distance.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I reached the top. I was exhausted, but the views were worth every step. From the highest viewpoint, I could see the entire Petra site, including the Treasury, the Royal Tombs, and Colonnaded Street. The sun shone bright, and the sky was a deep blue, making the red sandstone cliffs stand out even more. It was a view that I would never forget.
The hike to the highest viewpoint for the Treasury is not for the faint of heart, but it’s an adventure worth taking. The climb is…
