iPhone 14 Pro Max Camera is Ruined
Apple overdid computational photography, and the iPhone camera is getting worse
I was looking forward to getting my iPhone 14 Pro Max this year. Better camera, better sensor, better software, cinematic mode, etc. I promised myself everything a camera could do and more, but after a week of using the iPhone 14 Pro Max, I want to return to my iPhone 12 Pro Max camera.
Let me take you through my rant. I will not get technical about it. This will be a personal camera review of what many believe is the best smartphone currently on the market.
I get a new phone once every two years in January. It is the date on which I can get a new smartphone from my provider. Two years ago, I got the iPhone 12 Pro Max (the best iPhone I've ever used). I skipped the iPhone 13 lineup, and this year I got the iPhone 14 Pro Max in the flagship color Deep Purple.
The switch from the old to the new iPhone was very seamless. I almost did not feel that I had a new phone. The only I had to do on the new phone was set up the new iPhone as a key to my Tesla and re-add some credentials for bank apps and Microsoft Authenticator — Everything else was instantly ready.
